Join us this Easter for a two-day creative journey where young artists learn how to transform real observation to bold abstract art. Led by artist Heena Kim, these workshops are designed for ages 7-16 (Y3-Y11) and offer a fun and inspiring way to spend the Easter holidays. Children and teens will explore exciting art techniques, build confidence in their creativity, and take home their own finished artworks.
Day 1 - Draw & Twist
We will explore how to observe and draw from real objects, then experiment with layering, distortion, exaggeration and composition using a variety of drawing materials, including markers and oil pastels. Through guided techniques, they’ll discover how to “twist” what they see into something imaginative and expressive.
Day 2 - Paint & Transform
Using acrylic paint, students will develop their playful ideas into a vibrant final artwork on canvas. We’ll explore colour relationships, brush techniques, and expressive mark-making to create a confident, finished piece to take home.
